Donovaly

Donovaly is situated in the beatiful environment of the mountain range Velka Fatra in the 900 m above the sea level. It lies 25 km away from Banska Bystrica, 240 km from Bratislava and only 180 km from Budapest. There are ideal conditions for summer and winter activities there.

Besenova spa (30 km, about 25 min driving) – open the whole year, the water temperature is about 36-40 °C, spa on the basis of hot springs of healing mineral water

Hrabovska reservoir (25 km) - reservoir with a possibility of fishery

Liptovska Mara dam (40 km) - bathing, water sports, sailing, surfing, fishery

Vlkolínec - a typical mountainous settlement, the only village in Slovakia that has not been disturbed by new development. In 1993 it has been included in the List of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage, UNESCO.

Tajov - the place of mining and smelting industry, the village where we can find native houses of famous slovak writer and editor Jozef Gregor Tajovsky and Jozef Murgas, an inventor in the field of radiotelegraphy.
